The Power Behind A Blessed Life

The Power Behind A Blessed Life

And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. Genesis 17:6-9

The blessing of Abraham is designed to protect you and your loved ones from the difficult times we live in. From one country to another and on families and individuals, the heat is on. The good news is you and your family can be exempt. As recorded in the Bible, times of difficulty and great challenge have happened several times in the past. Nothing that has happened in your life or will happen is a surprise to God who has your best interest at heart. Before any recession, the Father already has a plan to shield you from its effect and to prosper you beyond your imagination. His plan is packaged in the blessing of Abraham.

It Is The Blessing That Makes Rich

The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22 NKJV

The blessing of the Lord is a total package and a powerful force! When it comes upon your life, it makes you an overcomer because it has the ability to affect every area of your life.
As Kenneth Copeland says; “It goes all the way, from the top to the bottom and from the bottom to the top!” The blessing will make you rich in your spirit, your body, your marriage, your bank account and in everything you do. Understand that It is not your qualification or your job or whatever your career is, that prospers you.

Understand that It is not your qualification or your job or whatever your career is, that prospers you. No, a thousand times no! Your job is only a channel for the blessing to enrich your life. The scripture says, “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich…” It is the responsibility of the blessing of the Lord to make you rich. Yours is to trust and believe His Word.

The Life Of People without The Blessing

There are multitudes of people out there who earn from five to seven figures or more monthly, yet they are miserable because the blessing of the Lord has no place to dwell in their lives. There are so many out there who make so much money and yet cannot make ends meet. A college or university degree will not make you prosper! Please don’t get me wrong, education is commendable but you must see farther than your certificate. Look around you, there are so many with multiple degrees who are broke in life. According to the Word of God, it is the BLESSING that prospers you! The blessing is what makes things to produce in your life. It is the POWER behind every blessed life in God’s Kingdom.

The Pronouncement of The Blessing

In the beginning, when God created Adam and Eve, He first pronounced the blessing on them and commanded FRUITFULNESS AND MULTIPLICATION upon them consequent upon that pronunciation.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:27-28

With the blessing pronounced by God on man comes every intelligence and ability that is needed to subdue and have dominion over everything that was created. The blessing makes for productivity. Note that it was after God blessed them, that He commanded them to be fruitful and multiply. Whenever you allow the blessing of the Lord to operate in your life, you become so productive and fruitful that no famine or recession can affect you. The blessing of the Lord will always prevail over any situation you find yourself.

God Is The Giver Of The Blessing

Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. Psalm 75:5-7

From the scripture above God is the Judge who is responsible for the promotion or demotion of anyone. The Lord promoted Isaac and he became the envy of the Philistines, as he prevailed over famine. Others may have planted and harvested nothing, or were too scared to plant, but Isaac, acting on God’s instruction and knowledge [higher information], planted during the famine and received a hundredfold harvest.

Isaac acted on God's instruction and reaped the rewards. Click To Tweet

An Example Of The Blessing

harvest, blessing, barley

There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. Then the Lord appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; Genesis 26:1-3, 12-13 NKJV

The blessing thus empowered him to prosper. As you begin to operate in the blessing, you will discover that the blessing is working even in famine! You cannot stop a man that is carrying the blessing of the Lord. No force on earth is able to stop you from achieving your dreams as long as the blessing is your foundation!

What Is The Blessing?

The blessing is a covenant, entered into by blood between God and Abraham. God initiated the process of the blessing with Abraham in a relationship before the blessing was conferred on him. After Adam betrayed God and sold out his inheritance and authority to the devil he became a slave to Satan. God not willing to give up, located a man named Abram and gave him a proposal.

Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. Genesis 12:1-4

It will interest you to know that the Lord did not tell Abraham where he was going. A wise person will always accept any proposal from the Lord. Abraham did, he gave his thumbs-up to go ahead with the Lord and he was blessed beyond measure. The greatest thing in your life, after you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour is to walk boldly into the blessing. This is possible by the revelation of the Holy Spirit. God found Abraham, a suitable partner for the birthing of the gospel and conferred the blessing upon him on a platform of the covenant.

God’s Covenant of The Blessing

And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Genesis 17:1-7)

The blessing is a spiritual endowment with an everlasting capacity, placed upon Abraham and his descendants throughout all GENERATIONS, including yours.

  1. This is so powerful I have been lifted both mentally-knowledge wise and spiritually

Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge

  2. Oh, I needed this today, sweet sister! How I thank God for your faithfulness! I am claiming these promises. Recently, I was on my knees praising God for the way He intervened and helped in some binding situations in our lives, and He so clearly spoke to me and said, “Your obedience unlocked the blessing.” Just like that. As I pondered His words to me, I looked back over the way He has led us and how we have been trying so hard to diligently follow in obedience to every, single thing He has asked, and I thought, oh, how much we miss out on when we disobey God! Think of the riches He has for each one of us, if only we would forsake all to follow Him and live a completely sold-out life for God. It is always such an uplift to visit with you here. Wish we could meet face to face and sit down over a cup of coffee and pour out our hearts! One day, we will meet at Jesus’ feet! So sweet to fellowship with you here. Sending love and hugs to you.
