Christmas 2016 is over and I do hope that you had a memorable one with Christ (The Celebrant) at the centre. I hope you found a way to celebrate with loved ones and create great memories. I hope you were able to “show Christ” to someone this season and presented a gift for our Saviour on this day we have set apart to celebrate His birth.

While I do not subscribe to waiting till a new year to make the necessary changes we need to make in our lives, I believe we could use the changing seasons God has given us to reflect on past seasons and make decisions about the coming ones.

So What Is It Going To Be? What changes do you need to make?

Do you need to;
– Make more money?
– Pursue more success?
– Get a bigger and more luxurious car?
– Get a bigger house?
– Get a bigger and better job?
– Get a bigger career?
– Become more famous?

I am all for more. I do not advocate for smallness or mediocrity, but can we look at things from a different perspective?

I was just thinking, what if we focused a little more on becoming better individuals?

Just Imagine.
Imagine What Would Happen if we all decide to become better. If we all decide to build up godly virtues and character, what would our world, the world we live in, be like?

If we decide to be more;
1. More loving
2. More humble
3. More gentle
4. More kind
5. More forgiving
6. More patient
7. More diligent
8. More peaceful
9. More faith full
10. More hope full
11. More courageous…
In short… MORE LIKE GOD

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.  Ephesians 5:1
Adopt the attitude that was in Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:5 CEB
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

This Is A Note To Self Too.
I write to myself as I write to you. I definitely want to do more for myself, my family, my community, my world. But I know for sure that being more like Christ is a great step in the right direction to doing anything more to bring Him and my world any pleasure or meaningful impact.
So i decided to share this note to self with you and encourage that we have on the top of our MORE list this new season; BEING MORE LIKE GOD.

What Would This Mean For Us?
Being more loving, more humble, more gentle, more kind, more forgiving, more patient, more diligent, more peaceful, more faith full, more hope full, more courageous… more like GOD would make some very wonderful things for our God and our world.

Some among many others would be:
– Peace in our hearts and homes.
– God’s love more seen than just heard.
– The gospel spreading a lot easier.
– An easier flow of God’s blessing upon His Church and the world.

Wouldn’t this be wonderful?
What more can you imagine would happen if we all decide to become better people?
