Ridiculous Promises.

Ridiculous Promises.

Why do we have a bent towards believing the worst instead of the best? Why do people generally think that things could get worse instead of better? Why do many resign their fate to the projections of ordinary men?

The world has so much sad news going on and predictions are worse than worst. Epidemics are ravaging the earth, criminals of all kinds are working on the streets dressed like normal people, old men are raping children, respected people are getting divorce, children are killing parents, parents are abusing their children… All over the world the economic predictions do not look good and nations are trembling in this wave of financial down turn. And just listening to people talk will let you know what they believe.

Man has a natural bent towards believing the worst in challenging situations. Click To Tweet

Many are losing hope, families are troubled. But there are some people whose life do not depend on the laws that govern the world. There are people whose kingdom is out of this world.

What Hope Is There?
Is there any reason for them not to think so?
Is there hope anywhere that life can get better?
Is there any escape from this sure predictions of gloom and doom?

So many decisions are being taken out of fear that things are not going to get any better. While that is true for some, it is not for others.

There is hope for those who will trust in The Maker of the universe. He makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The One who said to those who believe in Him that though they are in this word, they are not of the world.

You Can Be Separated.
In the book of Exodus it is recorded that while calamities were befalling the Egyptians, His people the Israelites, were separated.
Isaac in the midst of severe famine and drought planted and harvested so much that he became an envy in the land. Genesis 26

You see, in the midst of this darkness that has covered the earth God promised:
Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come, And the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1-3 AMP
Arise in your spirit, cry for revival.

God means that He will bring you joy when the world is sorrowing.
He will provide for you in abundance when lack is glaring.
He will give you life in the midst of death.

When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. Job 22:29

Be humble in trust, in God.

This does not come just like that, you have to believe in Him and stick with Him in love, in obedience and service. In case you have strayed from Him…

Receive I pray thee the law from His mouth and lay up His words in thine heart. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. Job 22: 22-25
Receive His word and apply them.

In another place He said:
You shall serve [only] the Lord your God, and He shall bless your bread and water. I will also remove sickness from among you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfil the number of your days. I will send My terror ahead of you, and I will throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you [in flight].
Serve God with total abandonment.

God didn’t say if the economy is good I will bless you, neither did He say, until the doctor’s report becomes favourable He will not give you a child. He didn’t say He will fulfil your days only when they world gets better.

He said He will do all of these if you would serve Him only.

Believe.
The promises of God always seem ridiculous, especially when we consider the prevailing situations around us.  But if you will dare believe Him, if you would dare trust Him to do as He has promised.

At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth. Job 5:22

God has promised that in the midst of this difficult situation, He will cause you to laugh. Will you dare believe Him?

Do not mind nay sayers who will not understand your hope and confidence in God. Those ones who want you to join in their negativity. Those who want to drag you into unbelief. Those who make a mockery of your faith in God.

This is no false hope, read the bible!

If God can bring water out of a rock in the wilderness, how hard can the challenges of this life be for God? Click To Tweet

Jesus said unto him, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23

Will you believe?

Praise God, He can separate us from the dangers! I love the way you brought that out. So sorry I haven’t been by here to comment, but for some reason, the blog posts are no longer reaching our inbox. It has been so frustrating…it is happening on other blogs, too. God bless you, my sister….sending much love to you across the miles.

    I believe! Oh I believe!

Isaiah 60 has been a theme since last year and my pastor spoke on the trying times ahead for those in the world..for us in the kingdom, even much more so now, our light shall shine provided we focus on HIM!

Abundance, surplus…wonder..is what we will ooze forth..so much so, sons and daughters will flock to the church when they see God’s work in our lives!

Thanks ma for this word in due season!
