The Mirror Is For Your Good.

The Mirror Is For Your Good.

The MirrorCan we truly survive and thrive without a mirror? Of course we can! But speaking in terms of checking our looks, women especially find it difficult to leave the house without looking in the mirror and I mean really looking.  Many men are guilty too.

How can I leave the house without checking to make sure my hair is well done, with every strand in my desired place? My teeth; no food bits caught in between, my dress neatly fitted and curves accentuated. Make up-check, shoe fitting-check, jewellery position-check…go on and add yours.
For men it would be ties-check, shirt-check, jacket-check, hair-(for those that have any) check…

The Mirror Hardly Lies.
The mirror is one of the best things that happened to women…and men. It will tell you exactly how you look, and then you can decide to go out that way or make some adjustments.
The choice to ignore dishevelled hair, wrongly done buttons, revealing clothes or dirty teeth and go on out is yours.  The mirror has told you that you are not dressed alright; it would not be wise to walk out the door looking like that.

Now, you can decide to go out like that and earn yourself some sneers or adjust your looks and get some wows. The choice is all yours.

I Was Hit.
I remember rushing off to work one day, I looked in the mirror quite alright but decided I was too pressed for time to do anything about my hair, it was rough with little strands flying all over my face, I made a joke of a pony tail out of it but it looked rough none the less. When I got to work that day, almost everyone asked if I was okay and even though I kept a straight face, I was quite uncomfortable.

The same way we look at ourselves to make sure we look alright in the physical; we should check the state of our spirits and souls to ensure that we are properly dressed to handle the people and issues for each day.

If we do not care about the look of our souls, then there is a hundred percent guarantee that we would go and get our days messed up. Like speaking the wrong words, going to the wrong places, displaying dangerous anger, and doing things that will end up leaving our day unpleasant, unhappy or unaccomplished.

How to check our souls’ state?

open bibleObey God’s message! Don’t fool yourselves by just listening to it. If you hear the message and don’t obey it, you are like people who stare at themselves in a mirror and forget what they look like as soon as they leave. But you must never stop looking at the perfect law that sets you free. God will bless you in everything you do, if you listen and obey, and don’t just hear and forget.
James 1:23-25 (CEV)

The Bible is a mirror, exposing the state of our hearts and souls to us. As we see our true state, read how to make the necessary adjustments and obey those instructions, we are able by God’s Holy Spirit to correct all errors, so we can handle properly all our lives’ issues: marriages, relationships, businesses, finances, health, children, infertility, and eternity.

Now you have a choice to look in THAT MIRROR or go on as if it does not matter what state your soul is in.
