05 Jan Eyes On Opportunities.
Happy New Year once again friends! I trust you began your year well. Many people are making or have already made New Year resolutions, have you made yours?
Speaking of resolutions, have you even bothered to look up the meaning of the word? Well I did, and I found that it means a decision, a resolve, determination, firmness of purpose…
Just so you know that resolution is no abstract word; it is basically decisions we make to achieve a purpose and determining that no matter, what we will keep those decisions and follow through until the purpose is achieved.
Also, note that you do not have to wait for a new year to decide for the right turns in your life.
And I sure hope you have made a decision FOR your marriage this new season.
One thing that will help us is to seek, find and see opportunities to practice and become better followers of Christ, rather than dwell on the problems in our marriages. In every negative thing that might rise against our marriages are hidden opportunities.
Opportunities…
- To love unconditionally
- To be forgiving
- To be kind
- To be patient
- To be understanding
- To give encouragement
- To let go of offence
- To pray
- To care
- To listen
- To resolve conflicts
- To grow in unity
And many more…
If every spouse chooses to look for and seize these opportunities, rather than focus on the problems, we will find that our marriages will rise above every fiery dart the enemy might hurl our ways this season and beyond.
There Are More Than One Sides.
Every thing presents two or more perspectives, we choose to see based on the content of our hearts. When our hearts are filled with God’s word, our eyes will be able to see the opportunities we are given to grow in our marriages, as individuals and as a couple. Even though the enemy means to bring us down through these problems, we can turn it against him.
All From The Word.
You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies, for Your words are ever before me.
Psalm 119:98 AMP
You see, we can turn these problems around for the profit of our marriages and homes, when we operate from the depth of God’s wisdom secured in His word.
Let us then not seize from feeding on God’s word and allowing it to enter our hearts.
The entrance and unfolding of Your words give light; their unfolding gives understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the simple. Psalm 119:130 AMP
I firmly believe we can all have better marriages beginning now! Click To Tweet

Posted at 19:13h, 07 JanuaryI think you and I, Ugochi, were on thinking along the same lines in our new year’s posts! There’s so much we can do in critical and discouraging moments that makes our hearts rejoice in the Lord as we surrender it to Him. Great thoughts, my friend and Happy New Year! I hope this next year is full of blessings for you and your ministry, Ugochi!

Amen! And a Happy New satisfying Year to you.
