Why Will God Answer You?

Why Will God Answer You?

why will God answer me?We often seek God’s intervention in our lives. We always have a need and prayer awaiting His response and sometimes we wonder if our prayers make sense to God, if He will answer or if He is even bothered that we cry to Him.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee. Jeremiah 33:3

The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17

We can position ourselves in a place where all our prayers will receive God’s attention and action. We can KNOW for sure that God is listening and is already intervening in the situation. There is a place we get to in God and our walk with Him that we only desire it and He makes it happen for us.
I want to share with us some ways we can ask from God in confidence knowing that there are no barriers to our receiving our answers.

1. Live Righteous.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination, hateful and exceedingly offensive to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight! Proverbs 15:8 (AMP)

2. Live Conscious Of Him And Treasure His Word Above All.
If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7 (AMP)

3. Obey His Commands.
And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him. 1 John 3:22 (AMP)

4. Ask.
Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 (AMP)
…You do not have, because you do not ask. James 4:2 (AMP)

5. Ask For The Right Reasons And Purpose.
…you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives. Your intention is [when you get what you desire] to spend it in sensual pleasures. James 4:3 (AMP)

6. Ask In Jesus Name.
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. John 16:23

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14 (ESV)

7. Walk In Love
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1 John 3:22-23

8. Forgive
And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings. Mark 11:25-26 (AMP)

9. Ask According To His Will/Word
And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him. 1 John 5:14-15 (AMP)

10. Ask In Faith, Not Doubting Or Giving Up.
And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive. Matthew 21:22 (AMP)

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23

For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and [carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised. Hebrews 10:36

11. Depend On His Mercy.
…have mercy upon me and hear my prayer. Psalm 4:1 (AMP)

12. Ask With Thanksgiving.
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Philippians 4:6 (AMP)

If we put all of these in place, then we can rest assured that we have God’s intervention. There are however some times when God has good reasons for not answering our prayers. You can read about it here.

How do you position yourself to receive from God?

What would you want to add to this list?

When we know God, we know that he answers prayers, he rewards, he loves unconditionally and is never late in blessing. My prayer is that God gives me the grace to hold steadfast and obey his word. Amen

    Thank you for sharing.

We wouldn’t expect to gain much by approaching a stranger and asking for his valuables. So why would we ask God for His blessings without taking time to get to know Him? This list doesn’t only tell us how to get answered prayers, it also shows us how to develop a stronger relationship with God. Thank you for this post. Blessings to you and your family, Ugochi.
