08 Aug The Mirror
Can we truly survive and thrive without a mirror?
Of course we can! But speaking in terms of checking our looks, women especially find it difficult to leave the house without looking in the mirror, and I mean really looking. So many men are guilty too.
Without The Mirror.
How can I leave the house without checking to make sure my hair is well done, with every strand in my desired place? My teeth; no food bits caught in between, my dress without wrinkles, neatly fitted and curves accentuated. Make up; check, shoe fitting; check, jewellery colour and position; check…go on and add yours.
For men it would be ties; check, shirt; check, jacket; check, hair (for those that have any); check…
The mirror does not lie; it is one of the best things that happened to women…and men. It will tell you exactly how you look, and then you can decide to go out that way or make some adjustments. The choice to ignore disheveled hair, wrongly done buttons or dirty teeth and go on out is a choice.
If the mirror has told you that you are not dressed all right; it would not be wise to walk out the door looking like that. Click To TweetNow, you can decide to go out like that and earn yourself some sneers or adjust your looks and get some wows. The choice is all yours!
I remember rushing off to work one day, I looked in the mirror quite alright but decided I was too pressed for time to do anything about my hair, it was rough with little strands flying all over my face, I made a joke of a pony tail out of it but it looked rough none the less. When I got to work that day, almost everyone asked if I was okay and even though I kept a straight face, I was quite uncomfortable.
Spirit Check
The same way we look at ourselves to make sure we look all right in the physical; we should also check the state of our spirits and souls to ensure that we are properly dressed to handle the people and issues for each day.
If we do not care about the look of our spirits, then there is a hundred percent chance that we would go and get our days messed up.
Like, thinking the wrong thoughts, speaking the wrong words, going to the wrong places, displaying unhealthy emotions, and make silly mistakes that leave our days unpleasant, unhappy or unaccomplished.
Looking into the spiritual mirror and making the necessary adjustments will help us attain a good spiritual state and thus affect our days.
What Is The Spiritual Mirror?
The Bible is the mirror; exposing the state of our hearts and souls to us. It helps us to correct all errors in our inner man so we can handle properly all our lives’ issues: relationship with God, marriages, relationships, businesses, finances, health, children, and eternity.
Now, YOU HAVE A CHOICE to look in THAT MIRROR and make sure you are “dressed” right, or go on as if it does not matter what state your spirit and soul is in.

Posted at 07:57h, 17 AugustThe Christian life is a life that constantly call us to look in the mirror and become willing to let God help us change what we see on the inside. Great post!
