10 Jan Prayer Power
I wish we could all believe, I mean really believe that there is limitless power deposited in us when we spend time, quality time in and with God. Not the few minutes or hours we spend with God during church and fellowship meetings, but when it is just you and God pouring out your heart and soaking in His presence and power.
When we see great men and women in the kingdom who did and are doing great exploits as recorded in the Bible or in our world today, we shouldn’t wonder how they did it… I believe they took on their strength, wisdom and power from time spent with God.
Joshua was Moses’ attendant, he waited on Moses and knew Moses’ encounters with God, studied Moses’ prayer life and desired it too. He saw how God used Moses in His generation and understood that it came from time spent with God.
He desired this too, to be used of God in such a manner and he decided that if God was going to use him, he must follow after Moses…
And the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Moses returned to the camp, but his minister Joshua son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the [temporary prayer] tent. (Emphasis mine) Exodus 33:11 (AMP)
Why do you think Joshua refused to depart from the PRAYER tent, what do think he remained to do? Your guessed right- TO PRAY! And boy did God use Joshua?! Amongst many other feats, he was the only man that made the hosts of heaven stand still…
