No matter our state we all possess something very precious to us. Perhaps something we have waited to have for many long years, or something we saw and purchased with a very large and sacrificial sum of money because we really loved and wanted it.
It may not even be a thing per se, but someone very dear to our hearts, our spouse, child, friend, mother or others. It could even be our time, leisure, body…
We consider this thing or person very precious and are very grateful to God for blessing us with them. And then God suddenly calls out to us that He wants that very thing or person He has blessed us with.
May be you are struggling to release your spouse or child into missions afraid that you would lose them. Or may be you cannot believe God would ask you to give Him that thing you so cherish, that thing you have prayed for for a long time. It could even be the only priceless thing you have.
But will you choose a thing or person over maintaining your relationship with God? Would you not rather release to God since He is the source in the first place? What are you holding back from God, your talent, your time, your body or your life?
When God asks for something, He simply wants to prove your professed reverence and love for Him in your giving of any and every thing He demands.

Look what He said after Abraham willingy offered up Isaac to Him at His demand:

And He (God) said, Do not lay your hand on the lad or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear and revere God, since you have not held back from Me or begrudged giving Me your son, your only son. Genesis 22:12 AMP Emphasis mine

Can God say, “Now I know” of you too?
