17 Jan Not Made Of Stone
I am a child of God. The Creator of heaven and earth, The Master of the universe, The Beginning and The End, The God who created all things but was not created, The God who lived even before the world began, The Creator of man and woman. Genesis 1: 27
Even before I became His child I was His creation. I was not made by circumstance, I was not created by evolution, and I did not just drop from nowhere. I was carefully thought of, delicately planned and lovingly created by The Only Living God whom only created all living things and/or beings. I am not the child or creation of wood, stone, crystal or other objects. Neither am I the result of an evolved ape.
I am a creation of purpose, created by purpose and intentionally sent into this world for a definite purpose. Tweet This
Please bear with my going on and on…
I believe you will understand more as you read on.
If stone birthed me, I would BE a stone, if I was created by wood, then I would BE wood, if I evolved from an ape… why have they suddenly stopped evolving? Well, I certainly do not think like, look like or behave like one.
Apes are lower animals created separately from man; man was there to name the ape after it was created. Genesis 2:19
I Am Not Dumb
Why would I call stone my God, or adopt a tree as the one who created or fathered me? Isn’t it ridiculous? Why would I yield to a figurine of any sort as my maker or God, how can my God be something made of silver or gold that has passed through fire, how can I call God something man made with his own hands?
I have enough sense to know that I could have only been created by a living being, one who thinks, knows, feels, thinks, speaks, does and LIVES. Only a living God can make a living being, and any offspring of God would look like Him.
Who Fathered The Goat?
My pastor usually says to us, that the father of a goat is a goat, the mother of a lion is a lion, the father of a bird is a bird… sure you get my drift. I cannot get into the foolishness of bowing before something that is not living as my God, neither can I look to a creature of man, that probably has eyes but cannot see, ears but cannot hear, mouth but cannot speak, legs but cannot move as my God.
I cannot help but think of Dagon, how it broke in pieces before The Almighty. 1 Samuel 5
Absolute Ludicrousness
It is absolute ludicrousness to even begin to consider yielding myself, my fearfully and wonderfully made self to one “thing” as my God. I know who my God is; I know who my Father is because I look like Him. I know what or who my God should look like because of who I am and how I look, because I am a living being, because I cannot be deceived!
The devil is just a trickster, luring people away from The One True and Living God to serve him via “things” that cannot even save a fly.
Since then we are God’s offspring, we ought not to suppose that Deity (the Godhead) is like gold or silver or stone, of the nature of a representation by human art and imagination, or anything constructed or invented. Acts 17:29 AMP
If we suppose that God is made of gold, silver or stone, that means we are saying we are made of the same.
Do you know who your God is, who made you and who you are?

Posted at 18:43h, 22 JanuaryAmen! Thank you for your transparent heart and willingness to share yourself here on your blog. I want to recommend a book and CD that I bet you will love. This is a friend of mine who was my worship leader for a few years. He has an amazing testimony and an amazing perspective as it relates to the same question you presented here: Who is God? You are so right as is my friend that knowing who God is has to be asked and “the answer changes everything.”

Posted at 16:43h, 20 JanuaryBeing made in the image of God is one of the most amazing things about each one of us. It’s so big I can barely understand it. You explain it so beautifully here. I love this: “I am a creation of purpose, created by purpose and intentionally sent into this world for a definite purpose.” Amen. Thanks for sharing, Ugochi.

Posted at 17:06h, 17 JanuaryGood Morning, There is much foolishness in this land for who and what people worship! I laughed as I was reading this post, as I was remembering that Dr. Suess book called Are You My Mother?
Writing for the Lord is a wonderful ministry!
Blessings, Roxy
