The Rise And Fall Of Many

The Rise And Fall Of Many

The chief reason Jesus was born was so He could die to save us from our sins and thereby save us from eternal damnation. Jesus’ birth was to some, an avenue for their lifting while to some for their falling. Depending on which they choose.

Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “This boy is assigned to be the cause of the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that generates opposition.” Luke 2:34 (CEB)

How the same person that would cause many to rise would be the reason so many would fall? How could such a momentous, joy and hope filled birth also cause the fall of many?
Part of the prophecies of the coming of Jesus in explains:
On One Hand
Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a Stone, a tested Stone, a precious Cornerstone of sure foundation; he who believes (trusts in, relies on, and adheres to that Stone) will not be ashamed or give way or hasten away [in sudden panic]. Isaiah 28:16 (AMP)

I understand this to mean that those who would believe in Him, would be those who would rise. For the ones that would believe in Him, they will not be ashamed, defeated, or panicked.
These are the group of people who would be entitled to the full benefits of the birth and death of Jesus. Which includes a joyous life here and in the world to come! The Bible says He is The Joy of the world. Luke 2:10-11

On Another Hand
Those who would fall are those who would not believe and receive Him. Those who reject, despise and insult Him shall not survive it.

Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. Matthew 21:42,44

The ones that refuse Him are already condemned to eternal separation and damnation. Condemned to eternity with the devil in the pit of darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Condemned…

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:17-19

Light In Darkness
We live in a dark world, where evil is fighting fiercely against good. Where darkness is contending vehemently against light. Many are stumbling and falling because they refused The Light, but for those who believe and receive Him, His light shines in and through them, lightening their paths and showing them the way in the darkness.

Are you still groping in darkness, are you fallen and trying to find your way up, have you strayed and want to get back into The Light?
Jesus is the same same yesterday today and forever, the same words He spoke Centuries ago still hold up today:
…Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. John 6:37

God Is Waiting
God is delaying judgment because of those who are falling. He does not want anyone to perish.
The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 AMP

Moment Of Decision
This season of celebrating His birth would be a good time to reflect, rethink and have a change of heart. Walk into His arms that have been open and waiting to embrace and give you true life that only He can give. Go on and do it, He is waiting on you, right where you are…

Please leave your prayer requests, testimonies or thoughts in the comment box and I would be delighted to pray with you, guide you or just discuss and rejoice with you.

Great are His mercies — they are new every morning! Love the word — it brings light into such a dark world. To him who have ears let him hear.

The main reason Jesus was born was not to die for other’s sins, he was born to let people know about the fatherhood of God and the brother/sisterhood of human beings. This is from the Urantia Book.

I am a follower of Christ, begotten son of the Almighty God, the Bible is THE FINAL WORD for me, and this is some of what is written concerning Jesus Christ:

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29 KJV

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
      Luke 19:10 KJV

Thanks for sharing your opinion here, Barry, have a super blessed day sir!
