Life And The Three Little Piggies

Life And The Three Little Piggies

Today's WordThere is a story in the book of Matthew that often reminds me of a story I read as a child- The Three Little Piggies and the wolf. Do you know the story? It tells of how the first little piggy built its house with straw, the second piggy with sticks, and the third piggy with bricks. The hungry wolf huffed and puffed at the former two piggies’ houses, blew their houses down and ate them for dinner. But the last piggy did not end up as the wolf’s dinner because his own house was built of bricks.

The wolf can be likened to issues of life that wants to swallow our heads up and hinder us from living the abundant life God has called us into. The last piggy escaped the wolf wise because he was wise enough to prepare itself against the wolf.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:24-25 the Amplified Bible
“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.”

The rain will descend, the floods will come and the winds will blow. Every house will be beat upon by life’s challenges and the enemy’s raging, but only the house of the wise, the ones who HEAR AND OBEY God’s word will not fall.

Bless you ma. Talking about the practicality of the word. So simple yet so hard in the face of challenges. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing and hearing and doing what we hear, so help us Lord In Jesus Name. Amen. We must keep hearing until doing becomes easy and natural. Then we become a wise builder building with rocks and bricks. Thank you mama for this timely exposition. Lots of love to you and all yours.
