14 Nov Feelings and Emotions Vs Decision
Following after God cannot depend on feelings and emotions, or it will fail. Different incidents evoke different emotions. Different seasons bring with it different feelings and emotions. Good things bring joy and bad things bring sadness, naturally speaking.
But following God remains consistent when it is borne out of a decision, a resolve, a daily choice no matter what the feelings and emotions suggest. A decision backed up by actions will stand and follow God in the face of any storm. That is what faith and trust in God means. Believing and trusting God even when emotions and feelings want differently, when that is in place, God cannot help but step in.
For the Lord God helps Me; therefore have I not been ashamed or confounded. Therefore have I set My face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame. Isaiah 50:7 (AMP)

Feelings are the results of thought patterns. Our feelings are only reliable when they based on truth and righteousness. I believe that’s why Romans 12:2 tells us to constantly fill our minds with he Word so our feelings will correspond to God’s.
