Staying Humble

Today's Word

Staying Humble

Today's WordGod enjoys it, in fact, He prides in anyone who obeys Him totally, like He took pride in Job. He is excited about His children that take His word seriously and obey Him. We all should be excited and grateful to Him too, for His grace and empowerment to do His will because without Him we can do nothing.
When rendering service onto God or man in obedience to His command we must learn to do it from a humble heart. Deep humility in us is a requirement if we must render acceptable service to God, a service that is reward able. We should not make a boast of it or despise others because of it, recognizing that we have only done what we ought to do, and remembering that we couldn’t have been able to without Him.

Even so on your part, when you have done everything that was assigned and commanded you, say, We are unworthy servants possessing no merit, for we have not gone beyond our obligation; we have merely done what was our duty to do. Luke 17:10 (AMP)
