If Wishes Were Horses

Today's Word

If Wishes Were Horses

Picture of a BibleI would have loved an easy life, yes, who wouldn’t? The kind Adam and Eve blew because they allowed the enemy to cause them to distrust God. They chose the one tree God had said they shouldn’t eat despite the million others they could eat freely from. They didn’t have to cook, bother about clothes or fast and pray to see and chat with God. But things are different now, life is not “easy”, we must give something in order to get something out of life.
Laziness is sinful, it does not depict our family trait, God is working even now and so we must refuse laziness in both spiritual and physical matters. Adam had work, no matter how little it seemed, he still had to do some form of work, tending and keeping the garden.

It is okay to dream and wish things to happen or be, but it is foolishness to think that mere wishing can make anything happen, if it were so, then beggars would be riding.

Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep—
So shall your poverty come as a robber, and your want as an armed man.
Proverbs 24:33-34(AMP)
