teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordWe ought to choose our friends based on our life goals, dreams and purpose, but especially our faith. Any friend that would encourage us in wrongdoing rather than good, that would take us from rather than draw us to God and His will is not a friend at all.

Jonadab was Amnon’s friend. He encouraged Amnon to commit incest. Amnon didn’t know how to go about satisfying his sinful desire, but he found “help” in Jonadab and Amnon ended in tragic death because his friend Jonadab encouraged his evil passion. 2 Samuel 13

Beware of those you call your friends, do not think you can handle them because you are a person of faith. I have seen people’s faith destroyed because they ran with the wrong crowd.

    Oh, how true! I once knew a woman who showed a character trait that made me cringe and I just cut her off. She was not one to understand that there are just some things that one does not do! Thanks for the warning, Ugochi.
