Fight The Flesh

Today's Word

Fight The Flesh

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordI am sure you have been in a situation where you acted without thinking, and then you realized that you goofed. Some of these actions are little with very minimal damage, while some have very harsh and damaging consequences, sometimes even irreparable consequences. We cannot trust our feelings at all they are very misleading and hardly ever make correct judgments. Our emotions, a product of the flesh always seeks to speak up and speak out first. We must learn to keep our flesh under since we know following its dictates will do us no good.
We keep our Spirits in charge by keeping our hearts and minds on Jesus and His word and being in tune with The Holy Spirit.  When we do this our spirits will gain ascendency over our flesh and can shut our flesh up when it makes suggestions. This is very important, as we all know that Flesh CANNOT please God.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. Romans 7:18

Bless you Ma. Victory lies in seeking to please God instead of our flesh. Lol.
