Open House Policy

Today's Word

Open House Policy

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordKeeping an open house is something we are not very open to these days, and it is understandable because the days we live in are tremendously evil.  You hardly know who to trust, the heart of men are desperately wicked, even in Church where we ought to let down our every guard, some are phony. God is aware of all these yet He expects us to obey Him in every regard.

It is necessary for us, especially since God says to, that we operate an open house because some have received their much needed miracles by it. I remember two of such people; Abraham and His wife, and Rahab the prostitute.  For Abraham and his wife, they received the son they had given up hope on while Rahab saved her life and that of her entire family from destruction.

“But what about the dangers involved?!” You might wonder. I believe this is where we must trust The Spirit of God in us to lead us, I believe if we stay sensitive to Him, He will lead us aright, He leads us not into temptation and He delivers us from evil. Do not ignore those nudges and burnings within your heart to open your house for that person/people; that single act  might just be the missing link to your blessing.

Take care to keep open house: because in this way some have had angels as their guests, without being conscious of it. Hebrews 13:2 (BBE)

Great post. Truly seeking God’s will and guidance will help us make the proper decisions at the right time. I think we truly can feel when it is God leading us in everything, even opening our home. Thanks for sharing your heart. 🙂
