All Things Are Ready

Today's Word

All Things Are Ready

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordIn the book of Matthew 22: 1-14 Jesus gives us a very interesting parable of what the kingdom of heaven is like. Remember that you are not of this world even though you are in it. Your citizenship is of heaven, you can literally enjoy all the benefits of your kingdom while living here on earth. That is God’s promise, He has blessed us with everything we need, He has given us all things, He has put us in charge of the earth, our lives and all circumstances through the authority given us in the name of Jesus Christ. Yet above all and with all these things He has given us something even much more, eternal life with Him. And He keeps calling our attention to this life of eternal bliss; we must take this call seriously. We must refuse to make light of it like the people in the story He told, we must take this call seriously and refuse every distraction that wants to lure us away from it. He has made all things ready, all we need to do is “come” to Him, and “stay” with Him. And remember that He has our best interest at heart.

For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue). 2 Peter 1:3 (AMP)

Exactly, life here on earth is so short compared with eternity. To spend eternity with God in heaven should be our goal, to store up our treasures and be able to praise him forever. What a gift he has given us. Nothing on this earth comparable. Nothing compares to the promises of Gods word.
