20 Jul To Fear The Lord
You know we all say we fear God; no Christian will say they do not fear God. By fear we all know I do not mean being afraid or terrified about something or some one. I mean awe; a reverential fear of God, with an underlying deep-rooted love for Him that makes you desire to please Him at all times.
It can also be related to genuine respect that makes you hold Him in the highest regard. It makes you stand at His beckon, you drop on your knees in His presence, unable to look up realizing that you stand before the greatest, highest and biggest. This fear of God it is that makes you hate evil, you loathe anything that He loathes, you abstain and refrain from getting involved in anything that displeases Him. It makes you flee from anything and everything that “looks” like sin. Your attitude and reaction to evil and evil ways measures your professed fear of The Lord
To fear the LORD is to hate evil. Proverbs 8:13
