Keeping On

Today's Word

Keeping On

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordAs a believer, there have been times in my life that I lacked the zeal that I needed in my walk with God. I grew weary and felt like I was just going through the motions. This is a dangerous place for any one to remain in because a weary Christian can become an easy prey for the enemy. But then as I fed my faith I received the strength that I needed to stand strong. The word of God is food for our spirit and soul, it energizes our faith for life and kingdom exploits; therefore we must guard our faith continually by feeding on His word. The word strengthens our spirit and energizes us to stay effective in our Christian walk and in our service to God. And what ‘s more, motivated by love and the assurance of our hope we cannot grow weary. We just keep keeping on as we receive constant energy to walk the walk.

Recalling unceasingly before our God and Father your work energized by faith and service motivated by love and unwavering hope in [the return of] our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah). 1 Thessalonians 1:3 (AMP)
