Growing Faith, Increasing Love

Today's Word

Growing Faith, Increasing Love

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordI have always been given to the desire to improve daily in my walk with God and I bet you do too. Any one who does not so desire would be signing up for stuntedness in spiritual growth. When a seed is planted and does not grow up and bear fruits, the farmer would have to root it out in order to make room for a more profitable seed or plant. Every farmer expects to see their seed grow and flourish after he has given the seed the right condition to blossom, he would take extra care of that plant and would forever rejoice and glory in it as it keeps on producing.

Like wise God expects us to grow from babyhood to maturity because he has provided us with the required conditions to do so, He is not a taskmaster and would not expect from us what He has not equipped us for. He expects us to grow in faith in Him and in love for one another, God glories and rejoices in a growing believer. We must ask ourselves: Is God rejoicing in me?

We ought and indeed are obligated [as those in debt] to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing exceedingly and the love of every one of you each toward the others is increasing and abounds. 2 Thessalonians 1:3 (AMP)

It takes grace to follow and serve our maker, the bible says it is not of him that runneth neither of him that willeth but of God that showeth mercy, by strenth shall no man prevail. God will surely give us sufficient grace to serve Him. God bless.
