Every one wants to know and be assured that their spouse is satisfied with then and faithful too. When this assurance is established their insecurities are abolished and trust is rooted deeply. Any such marriage is stable because trust brings stability in any relationship, trust on both sides…
Our relationship with God is like that of man and wife, we (The Church) are His bride and He wants to know that His blessings have not taking His place in our lives. Not money, business, family, career, friends, carved images or anything that fights with God over our hearts. He wants to know that He alone is our desired portion in life.
King David had no alternatives to God, he knew that all he had came from God and he was content with have God as His portion, hence his dedication, commitment and devotion to Him so strong that God called him friend. Can we look into God’s eyes, I mean like seriously and say;
“I say to the (you) Lord, You are my Lord; I have no other good (want) beside or beyond You.” Psalm 16:2 (My Emphasis)
