It Could Be You

Today's Word

It Could Be You

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordThe first place we look when things are not going well is at someone or something, and this is natural. But for believers it should be natural for us to look within ourselves first, to make sure that we are not the ones who bring troubles upon ourselves. When we disregard and disobey God’s word we are opening doors to heartaches and pains, I am not saying that every thing we face is a result of our sin, what I am saying is that we should look to ourselves first before trying to blame our troubles on someone or something else. A life of disobedience is a life of troubles and instabilities.

Can someone live in or toy with sin and wonder about his troubles? Can someone fart wonder why the air he is breathing in is unpleasant in smell?

When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, Are you he who troubles Israel? Elijah replied, I have not troubled Israel, but you have, and your father’s house, by forsaking the commandments of the Lord and by following the Baals. 1 Kings 18:17-18 (AMP)
