Grace

Today's Word

Grace

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordWhen a man believes, confesses and receives Christ into his heart as Lord and savior, something amazing happens to his spirit. He becomes a changed man as The Holy Spirit; The Spirit of Grace enters in and dwells in him. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Grace that makes and keeps us holy, He is The Grace that gives us power over sin.

Grace is no license to go on sinning as some might think, but rather is the ability in us by the indwelling of God’s Spirit to exercise our dominion over sin. When we continually offer and yield ourselves to God, submitting our bodies to Him always in thoughts and prayers, we constantly receive His ability to say no to sin.  Remember, grace is not a go-ahead for sin, but an empowerment to say no to sin!

For sin shall not (any longer) exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law (as slaves), but under grace (as subjects of God’s favour and mercy). Romans 6:14 (AMP)
