teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordFriends can be great… or grievous. I have seen in scriptures all kinds of friends, loyal, helpful, wise, foolish, wicked, profitable all sorts of friends and I often check myself up. What kind of friend am I and what kind of friends do I KEEP? Who we hang out with is very important in and to our destiny.

Think of Jonathan how he loved and preserved David even when he knew he was getting ready to take the throne from him, refusing to use the power he had to do him evil. Also think of Jonadab, how he helped Amnon commit iniquity and caused a chain of deaths and calamities in David’s house.

It is not out of place to choose what kind of friends we ARE and the kind we KEEP. Go ahead and make that analysis…

    I believe that my friends are an extension and/or reflection of who I am. No, they don’t have to be perfect, (just like I’m not!), but there must be more of their character that influences me positively than negatively. Based on this, I decided to choose my friends and not let them choose me. Stay blessed, Ugochi!
