For Your Own Good

Today's Word

For Your Own Good

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordWhat is wisdom? Wisdom is knowing, understanding and doing the word of God. Obedience to God’s word is wisdom, and the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God. Wisdom is no mystery as some might claim, it is simple and within reach but we must seek it like we would seek gold, with all that is in us.  When wisdom is ignored its consequences are severe, here on earth and hereafter in heaven. Wisdom makes our ways straight and our paths bright, wisdom sets us apart from the world and causes the world to marvel at us.

To get wisdom and understanding as God advices is for our own benefit, when we disregard wisdom we sign up for hardship and instability. Let us seek to KNOW, UNDERSTAND, and DO the word of God, for it is all for our own good.

If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer. Proverbs 9:12 (NLT)
