Why do most people find it hard to believe that a man could live a pure life on the earth? I believe it is ignorance of the ability The God who commanded purity has put in us to live pure. God is not a taskmaster who would ask us to do what He knew we couldn’t.  The enemy has nothing good to offer us (John 10:10) and he seeks to deceive us into believing holiness is impossible, especially in the dark world we live. But the devil is a liar, God has given us His Word, His Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus, plus our will power to help us make the right choices at all times. Yes it can be difficult, really difficult, but with God on our side we can always say no to sin and take whatever the consequences are, knowing that the consequences of saying no cannot be compared in any way or measure to that of saying yes.

Holiness is a must if we must live a worthy life here and blissful life in eternity. We must also realize that holiness grants us access to God and to His blessing. It is for our own good.

Who shall go up into the mountain of the Lord? Or who shall stand in His Holy Place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted himself up to falsehood or to what is false, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Psalm 24:3-5
