14 Jun Choices
If a man stumbles and bumps into furniture in house when it is dark, all because he refuses to turn on the light switch, then it was his choice to stumble and bump.
This world is dark and there is a lot of stumbling, bumping and falling going on because many have refused to “turn on” the light switch that can make them see their ways and avoid falling. The word of God is lamp, it is light, and anytime we refuse to heed God’s word we have deliberately chosen to stumble, bump and fall when we can actually see our ways in this grossly darkened world. The biggie about this is that when we do “turn” on this switch, we not only light our way, we also become lights that can brighten other people’s darkness and help them find their ways. (Matthew 5:14) It is all about choices.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

Posted at 15:52h, 26 JuneWe are the examples that people see and honestly, how much of God’s glory is shining on or through us? To our shame and I am as guilty as the next man or woman, our light is still too dim! I must confess that even though I had always been drawn to God, surrendering my life to him was not the easiest thing to do. The examples of some christians I saw then (and even now!) was/is off-putting. I could not tell them apart from the ‘world’ apart from them labelling themselves as ‘christians’. This certainly makes the world go for the wrong ‘choice’ since it has no right examples to go by. Stay blessed, Ugochi!
