teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey, the wordPrayers, reading the Bible, fellowshipping with the brethren, walking in love, living Holy, obedience, fasting….

All of these are God’s commands and instructions for us.  We gladden God’s heart when we do His command. The way we handle matters concerning God and His kingdom is important to Him. It shows whether or not we value Him and His word, it shows whether we honour Him or not.

How serious do we take God’s business?

When He is despised and ignored, He is a just God, the consequences can be dire…

…For those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Samuel 2: 30

    Involving God in our daily activities and taking time to seek his consent before we make major decisions in life shows honour. Most times we make decisions without getting a nod from Daddy ( God) . I counsel u to take up this culture and you will be glad u did. Indeed when we truly fall in love with him, we will yearn for him, seek to please him without compulsion, talk to him always, e.t.c. God never wants us to do anything out of compulsion or fear of consequences, but rather out of pure love for him. Every man’s work will be tried, and activity not done out of pure love will be consumed by fire, while the soul will be saved because of faith in Jesus Christ and the finished work at Calvary. Our prayer should be dear father make me fall deeply in love with you, give me a heart that yearns for you. David prayed ‘ As the dear panteth after the water brooks, so my soul longs after thee’.

    His word says “If you call me Father, where is my Honour”. God has indeed called us to live a life of close and intimate relationship with Him. Our lives can only reflect the beauty of Jesus when we follow closely.

    “That i may know Him….” This article is a challenge indeed for us to evaluate where we are with Him. i want to love Him more and more and fellowship with Him in my closet so that when i talk about Him to others or fellowship with other believers, it will be a function of the intimate relationship i enjoy with Him.

    Isn’t that the truth! God’s business should be top priority. Honoring Him by heeding His commandments. I never want to experience the consequences of neglecting God. Blessings to you Ugochi!
