01 May For God’s Glory
Jesus got the news that Lazarus, His friend, whom He loved (John 11:3), was sick… I am sure Mary and Martha (Lazarus’ sisters) and His disciples expected Jesus to drop everything and move immediately to heal him, but the Bible says He (Jesus) stayed two days longer in the same place. What?!
Like you pray desperately for change in a desperate situation, and it looks like God has not moved a finger, talk more of moving into action. And you wonder “is God still there?” Truth is, He heard you…
But He waited for it to get “worse”, beyond human capacity or ability, so that he will be glorified in the situation. So permit me to prophecy God’s word to you today, like Jesus said about Lazarus’ situation.
This (whatever it is you are facing right now) is not for your death, not for your shame, not for your downfall… But that Jesus may be glorified. See?! The reason it has tarried “long” and gotten “worse” is so it will all end in God’s glory, hallelujah! So hold on and know that God will get the glory in your challenge! When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, God was glorified and many came to believe in Him, your challenge will yield the same results!
When Jesus received the message, He said, “This sickness is not to end in death; but [on the contrary] it is to honor God and to promote His glory, that the Son of God may be glorified through (by) it”. John 11:4
