I Miss My Time With You

Today's Word

I Miss My Time With You

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey,My husband is very generous towards our boys and me. He always seeks to satisfy our needs, providing for us as the head and leader of our home. I am sure he thought I should understand that he was expressing his love and affection for me by this, but I had to make him know that he was communicating to me in a language I couldn’t quite understand. So one day I blurted out; “You can take back everything and just give me you!”

Was He shocked?

Now understand that my husband is a great husband and father too, but also understand that when you are in love with someone you can hardly get enough of that person…

God is so in love with you, head over heels in love with you if you like. So He just cannot understand your professed love for Him when He does not get to have time alone with you, quality time alone I mean. More so He does not understand how any believer who claims to love Him would be satisfied to go on without seeking time alone with Him. He cannot understand how we make time for every other thing whether good or not, but cannot give Him the time He so longs for.

No relationship can thrive without fellowship. God always came down to Adam and Eve for fellowship-(Genesis 3: 8a)

Then after the fall He made continuous effort to get back with us and finally sent His only son to die; all because He wanted fellowship with us.

One day He said to me; “I MISS MY TIME WITH YOU.”

Could He be saying that to you right now?

I’m so guilty about this. While I’ve made a conscious effort to read the Bible almost every day and pray throughout the day, that 10 minutes isn’t enough. Thanks doe the reminder.

We all fall short Meredith, but He keeps drawing us and calling us… And His grace is sufficient for us to respond.

One of the things I love the most about God is that He doesn’t give up on me and always wants to spend time with me… always, no matter what is going on in my life!

Thanks for this one, Ugochi! It’s a great reminder of how great the love of God is for His creation.

It is the same for all of us Anna, we only need to always yield to His longing and long for Him too. He does love us more than we can understand.

Couldn’t have said it better ;-). Quality time in any relationship is precious time that no amount of money or gifts can buy! Loving God is giving, first and foremost, the giving of ourselves in fellowshipping with him. Thanks for sharing. Stay blessed.
