Forgiven Is Blessed

Today's Word

Forgiven Is Blessed

teshuva, jesus, God, love, obey,Just imagine someone kills another person, maybe intentionally or not. And according to the law of his country he must die if found guilty in the court of law.

He knows he is guilty, everyone knows that he is guilty, the evidences are all obvious. Going to court is mere formality, just to take him through the process, to “fulfill all righteousness” so to speak. He must die by electrocution!

His walks into the courtroom shivering and petrified, he stands before the judge as his sentence is about to be read he falls on his face in passionate plea for mercy, his lawyer also kneels before the judge pleading.

The courtroom goes silent: suddenly the judge accepts his plea, grants him pardon and his life is given back to him. How do you think this man would feel?!

We are all blessed to be forgiven when we come to Christ. We were guilty but God because of Jesus forgave us when we asked, and still does. It is a blessing to be forgiven; it is a blessing to be heaven bound.

Are you forgiven?

Blessed and happy and to be envied are those whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered up and completely buried. Blessed and happy and to be envied is the person of whose sin the Lord will take no account or reckon it against him. (Romans 4:7&8)

Thank God for the blood of Jesus through which we receive forgiveness. Even more pleasing is that we are continually cleansed as we walk in the light as Jesus is in the light – 1 John 1:7, Amen!
    Stay blessed.
