My husband tried so hard to get married, he tried and tried but he couldn’t. For every lady he tried to get married to he met a hindrance, either the girl refused or her parents refused.
He made five attempts but they all turned sour. After a long while he realized that he cannot go on waiting for it to happen. He realized he needed to do something differently. He realized there was a battle to fight and win.

God has promised you marriage, but the promise is no guarantee that you will get married, especially if you decide to just wait and do nothing. You must fight to enter…

Deuteronomy 2:24 (KJV)
…behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
Did you see that? God says He had given them the land, He said that they must begin to possess the land and contend with them in battle.
It is true that God has given us victory; He has declared that He will give you a help meet for you, but you must fight to get married. The reason you must fight is because the devil is always fighting against God’s promise in your life. He will not just fold his hands and watch you enter God’s promise, he will stand against you, so you must fight.
When my husband realized this, he took God’s promise:
…thy will be done… Matthew 6:10
… It is not good for man to be alone… I will make for you a help meet… Genesis 2:18
And he warred with these scriptures; he kept declaring and taking God’s word back to Him, and commanding the devil out of his destiny.
1 Timothy 1:18 (KJV)
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
The word and promise of God is prophesy and you must fight with them.
Revelation 19:10 (KJV)
…for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
The word of God is the testimony of Jesus, you must fight the good fight of faith, you must walk into the victory God has won for you in Christ Jesus. You must labour to enter the rest that God has promised you.
Faith and quietness don’t go together at all, you cannot say you have faith and do nothing with it. Your faith is a weapon for warfare and your victory is guaranteed if you will fight.
My husband fought and fought, he didn’t give up… and then I appeared. If you really desire to get married, do not relent, do not stop, do not accept defeat, do warfare with the promise of God, with God’s word you can silence the enemy, with God’s word you can activate your miracle, with God’s word you can remove every hindrance, with God’s word you can call forth your spouse.
Will you dare to contend to get married? Will you dare fight to win?

    All things are possible with God IF we allow things to happen in His time not ours.

    you guys should watch Courageous..we watched it last weekend..a great movie with a grew message.

      Oh yes Annmarie! We have seen it,I believe my husband was inspired by God, that was how he fought to break the bonds of single-hood and then he found me. lol!
