30 Oct FIVE KINDS OF WIVES

I found out four kinds of wives as I studied recently and I asked myself some hard, thought provoking questions.I thought what I learnt was worth sharing so here goes:
Don’t gasp for breath now! It may look like this is extreme; Jezebel would have been a great asset to her husband in the positive.
Jezebel had a strong influence over her husband, she was a strong personality, and she had the ability to get things done, even the most difficult things. She was never stranded or lacking of ideas and solutions. She was a force behind her husband and a very strong one at that. The only thing wrong was that she always influenced to do wrong and hideous things.
Or maybe she knew no better…
I want to use my influence over my husband in the positive only. I
want to be the second reason he is praised at “the gates”.
Perhaps a little different from Jezebel, she was just a “yes wife”. Anything he says I will do. She agreed to join him in his wrong doing, she couldn’t stop him, and she couldn’t help but join him.
Abigail was an intercessor for her husband, even though she knew he was full of folly, she never stopped believing God for a change in his heart. He disregarded God and had no respect for man, yet when his life was at stake this Abigail whom he may not have given the best of treatments as his wife, loved him enough to intercede and got his life spared(at least for the moment).
Priscilla’s husband was a tent maker. She was his partner in every sense of the word. She stood with him and laboured with him to make a success of their business. She wanted so much to make sure he never lacked support or encouragement from her. Even when a young man Apollos needed mentoring: she partnered with her husband in order to ensure his spiritual understanding and growth, she was a strong supporter.
I want to partner with my husband spirit soul and body, I want to help him make his dreams come true, knowing that as I do that, God will ensure that my own dreams come true too.
Sarah was a meek and submissive wife to her husband Abraham, she never questioned her husband any time he shared his encounters with God, and we all know he had several of those encounters. Now I know she goofed once, and it was major, on a general note, she was very loyal, devoted, obedient and submissive to her husband.
I want to be all that, and it is possible, seeing that the Bible admonishes that we emulate Sarah as a role model wife.
I want to pick all the qualities in numbers 3, 4 and 5; I want to be a complete and priceless wife to my husband, to be a true help meet to him in all areas of his life. The reason is that I know it will please the heart of God and I do sincerely want to please God and make Him proud to be my Father.
So what are the qualities you desire from the kind of wives as stated above? What kind of wife would you love to be to your husband?
