Dear God,

First, I want to thank you that I can come to you and talk to you about something that bothers us both. I want to thank you that I can call you Father and make my requests known to you, and I thank you that you listen any time I talk to you.

You know my heart, you know I love children, especially helpless ones. I believe it is you who have put such a passion in my heart that makes my cry with a broken heart every time I see a helpless or broken child. It is you who has also called me into running an orphanage even though it is still in the working.


You have helped my husband and I to sponsor a few helpless children and I am so grateful for this. But Lord there are many more… Without food, no shelter, no clothes, some without parents, no love, no care it is heart breaking…

Compassion International has opened my eyes to even so much more, to the countless children in need of love and care. My request is this Lord: Please touch the heart of my readers to sponsor a child, let your love so flood their hearts that they cannot resist this call. Touch them and cause them not to ignore the tugging in their hearts, cause them to do something about it.

 

Help them to remember your word that says:

If you oppress poor people, you insult the God who made them; but kindness shown to the poor is an act of worship.

Proverbs 14:31 (GNB)

Lord I know you will do it, because your word in 1John 5:14 says: And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

I know you have answered my prayers, thank you for all my readers who would be touched by you and follow your lead. And thank you Lord for I know you would bless them as they do.

In Jesus name I pray, amen.

    Nice post. This is the will of the Father. May God continue to use you to reach out to these most precious children. I am in the process of making my monthly pledges through United Way for this year. I have never heard of Compassion. I will look them up as one to support for this year.

    My parents Compassion child just turned 18. It was a sad day when they got the letter telling them they would no longer be receiving letters from Olivia. It’s a wonderful program and I hope more people get a chance to help some one in need.

    what a great prayer, we have seen the International Compassion request for sponsorship at the Christian worship shows it is such a huge need and this prayer is beautiful I hope it is heard :] God Bless

    It breaks my heart as well. I havent heard much about Compassion, but am very familiar with world vision. Do you suppose they are similar?

      They are I believe. It is so sad knowing there are children sooo helpless, but thank God there is something each one of us can do.
