KEEP ON ASKING

KEEP ON ASKING

Everyone… almost everyone desires to get married. And it is a good desire because God put it in us, He created marriage, He knew the man needed a wife, He knows that you need a wife or a husband. He said it is not good for man to be alone and He promises every man His own wife, and every woman is a promised help-meet to some man. God’s promises are sure but we must desire them to happen for us and We must ASK God for them as He has spoken.  After many promises God made to the children of Israel in Ezekiel 36, look at what He said:

Ezekiel 36:37

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them;

He wanted them to ask Him for it, He didn’t just want to impose His will on them; they had to desire it enough to ask Him for His promises.
It is the same with us all, we must ask Him for what he has promised, and He has to know that we want what He has promised. So for your promised spouse, you have to ask as well, knowing that He is true and faithful. He did not ask you to ask
just for the sake of asking, He also promised that if you ask you will receive.

Matthew 7:7

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

So you see that you have to ask in order to receive. God does not ask you to wish for it or just hope for it to happen someday in the by and by, He wants your hope to be revealed in your faith. When you ask in faith, then you will receive your spouse. Asking without faith does not get God’s attention.

James 1:6

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

If you want a spouse that is from God, not just any woman or any man, then you have to ask God for him/her. That perfect spouse, perfect in the sense that he/she is God’s best for you, can only come from God.

James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

And you don’t ask once and say “There it is God, I have asked!”  No, you have to keep asking and reminding God until you see your spouse. Look at how The Amplified Bible puts Matthew 7:7

[a]Keep on asking and it will be given you; [b] keep on seeking and you will find; [c]keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.

So it is not a one off thing, you keep at it until you see your desires.

John 16:24 (ISV)

So far you haven’t asked for anything in my name. Keep asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (Emphasis Mine)

Don’t just wish or cry, keep asking and believing God for your spouse, He is faithful, remember He says if you ask you will receive.  Ask in faith and be patient, not anxious.  Your patience is a reflection of your firm trust in God.

Keep on asking for you WILL receive!

This is such a beautiful post and inspirational.

I do believe God will provide in everything. And he definitely will not impose his will on us.

I also explain this to people who choose to rant about God and Christians. I say, you are not being forced to choose God. You always have a choice in this life.

    Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks a lot Sis!
It is true we are never forced, He gave us each a will, and He wants us to come willingly out of love. It makes more meaning to Him.
Thanks for coming by an leaving a note.
      Have a great week ahead.

Beautiful post! I remember when I learned that God had blessings he was just waiting to give me until I asked. Learning that I had to ask was a big thing for me. And, man, does it make a difference.

Thanks for this lovely reminder. Happy Sharefest!
