MY LIEBSTER AWARD!

MY LIEBSTER AWARD!

Wow! What can I say?! I have been receiving awards in quick successions.
Mid July I got this ward, I got awfully busy and forgot, it took me Saturday’s Award post to remember.
The Liebster award is specifically for blogs who have 200 followers or less,  so it  is not exactly an award in the big fancy way, but is more just a little acknowledgement from one blogger to another (11 others to be exact) to say, “Your blog is great”.

Tricia of Todaywiththetennerys passed on this award to me; Tricia is a friend I met in my early blogging days. She blogs sincerely about her family and parenting amongst other things, do make time to visit her.

Here are the rules for the Liebstering (not a verb?):

  1. Post 11 random facts about yourself.
  2. Choose 11 deserving bloggers and tag them in your post.
  3. Tell them you’ve tagged them.
  4. Answer 11 questions the tagger has asked you, and give 11 questions to the people you’ve tagged. No tag backs.
Let me begin…
Eleven random facts about me:

  1. I am not as fragile as I look. I have proved that time and time again- I have to look after four men…okay, three little ones and a big one, four men all the same.
  2. I am used to be very prim and Proper Patricia.
  3. I am not very good at sports- I would have loved to be a great runner, since I am slim, I thought the wind would just carry me to the finish line. I didn’t even come fifth at a 100 meters race I took part in, in college.
  4. It truly breaks my heart to see people suffer; it breaks it more when there is very little, physically or materially speaking that I can do to help.
  5. I love peace, I most times run from confrontations because I don’t like to make a scene and because  I cry too easily for my liking.
  6. I hate movies with sad endings, I cry even when I know it is only an act, but I can only enjoy a movie when I believe it is happening, lol!
  7. I loooove to travel!
  8. I am not happy when I make people unhappy.
  9. I can be very shy.
  10. I am working hard to be a positive influence in my world.
  11. I have a past which isn’t a sweet tale. I met the Saviour, Jesus, who changed my heart. I now follow Him with hope and faith of eternal life with Him.

Here are the questions from Tricia (and my answers).
  1. Who is your favorite artist (painter) and your favorite work by them?  (ie. mine is van Gogh’s Starry Night)Mine would be Mark Lawrence -Joy
  2. If you won the 689 million dollar lottery would you take a lump sum payment of $430 million or $28 million for 30 years? – I would take the later; I already have a couple of projects written down, so many people in need, so many people to help. But I would love to take it in bits.
  3. What is your biggest pet peeve? – Cats, when they just snoop around in the dark
  4. If you could change any one thing about your life right now, what would you change? – Forgetting little things that are very important
  5. Which do you prefer, the local grocery store or your local farmer’s market? – Always the local farmer’s store
  6. If you have an unlimited supply of money, an unlimited amount of time in the day, and the largest house ever, how many children would you have?- I would love a large family, I plan to adopt many children and own a rehabilitation home for the destitute.
  7. How long have you been blogging? – About seven months now
  8. What’s your favorite movie/TV show? – Fireproof
  9. What’s the first thing you think of when you heard thunder or see lightening? (ie. my parents told me God was whooping the Devil when it thundered) – I think of Sounds Of Music-the part where the children all run to Maria’s room
  10. What’s your favorite childhood memory? – When I used to sit on my Dad’s lap
  11. Why do you blog? – I blog to reach out and inspire people all over the world on ways to live a better life

Thanks so much for the award!! I love some of the answers you put down for this. That’s so cool that you think of Sound of Music when you hear thunder and lightning…I love that part of the movie.
